Happy Thanksgiving

It has been nuts here with oldest daughter getting married, taking grandson that lives with us to Walt Disney World for his 4th birthday as well as celebrating our anniversary.

I will post a few layouts I did for an album of our daughters wedding hopefully this weekend.

Our grandson had a blast and the plane ride didn't seem to bother him in the least, although all the waiting at airports for planes and busing was a bit too much for him. lol

I am going to be finishing up a kit and a freebie to go with the kit to preserve our trip.

I am giving out 2 freebies today as a Thank you for staying tuned while I was away.

They are both heritage style. Preserve those memories for future generations.

I hope everybody had a spooktacularly happy Halloween. I know we did at our house. We all dressed up and took our three year old grandson door to door around the village. What a blast! Hubby scared all the kids half to death with his creeper costume. Heads up people! Just two weeks left until the next all night crop session, the Double Trouble / Wine & Roses Crop at Do it Digi. (Heavy accent on the wine!) Keep watching right here for the date and start time. Bring all your scrappy friends and we’ll crop till we drop and party like it was 2008. OH YEA!! As usual there’ll be designers there to answer your questions and listen to all your comments, but best of all, we’ll be offering freebies all night long. Last Saturday's Spooktacular Crop

Wow! What a night! Thanks to all for another successful crop night, Saturday night. Our Spooktacular crop was well received by all who attended. Don’t forget that we’ll be hosting an all night crop every month from now on. We hope to see you there each and every time. There’s nothing we like more than to spend an evening chatting with our friends.

Please tell your friends, relatives and neighbors about our crops. The more kits we sell the more freebies we’ll be able to offer you each time.

On another note; it has come to our attention that some of our friends think that we are still members of Scrapbooker’s Playgrond. That is not the case. Double Trouble Designs, the host of last night’s Spooktacular Crop, at DO It Digi, is a cooperative venture of Sassy Designz and DD Designs. We are both associated, exclusively, with Do It Digi and Digi Scraps-N-More. We have severed all ties with Scrapbooker’s Playground and, in fact, are no longer, associated with them in any way . If you have had issues in the past rest assured that we have no intention of repeating mistakes made in the past. We guarantee your satisfaction.

It's Holiday Time

This weekend is our Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. That means that hubby and I will be eatin’ lots of turkey, and kissin” lots of relatives, so about a week from now we’ll have to start our new diets only to break them at Christmas time. It looks like we’ll be having Thanksgiving dinner twice. First on Sunday, at our daughter’s house, then again on Monday at our house.

Halloween is just around the corner too and we’re gearing up here, with decorations and costumes. We’ll have to draw straws to see who gets to take Kayden, our grandson, out Trick-or-treating, and who has to stay home and scare all the little witches and goblins. . . I mean hand out candy. Then comes the American Thanksgiving, in November, followed closely by Christmas, which I heard is going to be held on December 25th this year. Don’t forget to go to Do It Digi and Digi Scraps n More, where you can check out all my special kits for the holidays.
Also don't forget the big Spooktacular crop, at Do It Digi, a week from Saturday. (See the two previous posts for more information.)

Crop 'til You Drop Night Update

The date for this fantastic event is October 18, 2008. That’s a Saturday night, so I expect everyone to attend. All kidding aside, you won’t be sorry if you drop by. There will be tons of exiting things happening, lots of freebies and more.
I think the best part is the live chat. It’s the perfect opportunity for us, the designers, to talk to our clients and find out what they really want. There’s nothing like your input to help us design the kind of kits you want to see.

Crop 'til You Drop Night

Are you ready for this? I will be taking part in the all night "Boo Spectacular" crop, at DO It Digi, later this month. This is the first time I've taken part in this particular kind of crop, so I hope all of you will come out and support, not only me, but all of the other designers taking part. There will be tons of freebies, lots of specials and, best of all, a live chat where you can share your ideas and talk directly with the designers.

Hi there, I’m Bren. (Sassy to my friends) Welcome to my new blog.

First a wee bit about myself. I’m a mother and wife as well as a graphic artist. I enjoy designing web pages and digital scrap booking kits. There’s nothing finer than making a living doing something I love, unless it’s being married to my best friend and soul mate. My husband of over twenty years and I have a family of six kids and nine grandkids, so we’re pretty busy folks.

I guess you could say that we’re a very creative family. I’m an artist and designer, my husband, Bob, is a musician and writer, one of our children is a guitarist, one is a talented cartoonist, one is a tonsorial artist, and yet another is an excellent drummer. Several of our nine grandchildren are also up and coming talented artists in their own right.

In my spare time I love to knit, crochet, tat, sew, draw . . . Oh my gawd, even I can see a pattern developing here. Well, I also like to read, write a bit, camp and watch old movies with Bob.

If you have comments on any of my work or questions about any of my kits, please feel free to ask them here in my comments section. Only by hearing your feedback and opinions can I improve my kits and give my scrap booking friends exactly what they want. If you’d like a special kit designed, just ask. Often a small request or suggestion grows into a wonderful kit. I get my inspiration from many things, but much of my muse comes from the hints, thoughts, and suggestions of friends, family and customers.

Please take a look at what I have to offer and if you like it let me know. As I said, “I really want your feedback.”

Oh!! By the way, come back often, because that’s the only way you’ll know when I’m offering free stuff and I will be offering free stuff from time to time. I’ll also be telling you about any new and innovative things that I happen across, as well as notifying you about my newest kits. I may even post the odd story about my family, from time to time, if I feel so inclined.

I can’t stress enough that I want to hear from you, so please leave lots of comments. I love to hear from all of my friends.
